I'm not his biggest fan, by any stretch of the imagination, but he's highlighted two players who appear on the face of it to be good goalscoring buys, we've got them down to Oakwell only to find that we've not been able to finalise a deal with the player and/or their agents. Its looking more and more like his hands are tied with regards to the business he can do (although saying that - he'd probably have more to spend if he hadn't previously spunked a fortune on cack) and more and more understandable why alot of the previous business he's done has been overseas rather than players already proven in Britain - it looks like we can't afford British-based players to me. I might point out this is speculation and conjecture and my own opinion and nothing else.
Thank f.ck. I thought it was just me that thought Cryne et al gave the final word on the finances. I wonder if the credit crunch is hitting.........
Wouldn't be surprised. Our gate money excluding season ticket sales can't be that high on a weekly basis.
I think it could be fun when the recession really bites and some of these 'won't get out of bed for less than £8k a week' can't find clubs to pay them half that. Reminds me of Barnard and his eventual trip to Grimsby.
Also Bullock and his eventual Blackpool trip I think Time for some common sense. BFC are spot on in their attitude (if the rumours are true) and soon other clubs will be forced into the same position.
