during this last season our luck has been the worst ever - when ever did you see things be as one sided?

the number of points ost in the last min (12 or so) and none recovered - when things are supposed to even themselves out!

we have had such poor luck - but next year it will be different and maybe lady luck will be on simons side

personally hope he stays as stopping up is = to or better than promotion from league 1 every time

thanks simon and see you next year

You know when you're defending a bad manager and you're best argument is to point out all the points that HIS team have frittered away in the latter stages of games you're fighting a losing battle.
I'm delighted we've survived but now Davey must go.

Far too sensible a post for this board.

Only anti-Davey sentiments allowed old boy.

The anti-Davey mob are too thick to notice that he has improved Hassell and JCR this season and once again kept us up in a very competative League. Two players he was slagged off for playing in central midfield when the squad was thread bare.

Poor old Simon it wasn't his fault he replace the incompetent Saints Andy and Rick.
Whilst St Andy was at the dentists and St Rick at Home in thne Isle of Man.

If we have a good run Simon gets stick, if we don't win he get putrile venom, personal insults and racist comments thrown at him. Not helped by Andrew Lodge and the comments he makes in the Chronicle.

I have supported this team since the 1950s and I can't remember us ever having so much bad luck.
Hume's , lost to a violent assault was a major blow to our aspirations this season and we do not have the luxury of being able to have qualty Championship players through out the squad.

Well done Simon Davey and the all the players who pulled on a Reds shirt this season even if your contribution was vilified by the plebs and a big thank you to Patrick Cryne for being brave enough to support Simon during a difficult season.

Why are you so obsessed with Andrew Lodge?

Why are you so obsessed with Andrew Lodge?

He tried to be a Sun journo a week or so ago and wrote one of the most unbalanced articles I have ever seen in the Chronicle.

I was offended by his article. It was reporting at it's worst.

I thought he might like a bit back.

The squad was not thread bare

and he did not HAVE to play JCR in the middle. With Andranik, Da Silva and Colace in the middle what we needed was width, not yet another body in the middle.

Hassel has been great at FULLBACK, the position YOU have slagged him off in, JCR has been great on the wing, not as a central midfielder. Those are FACTS not just a jumble of words .

Dont even go to the striking situation. Absolute disgrace the chance sthat have gone begging and yes I do blame the manager and his staff, the players should be being coached better if they are constantly missing easy chances.

But it does not matter one jot to you, its all Ritchies fault.

No such thing as luck. It's all about effort & determination. Neither of which the players show under Davey.

How has he proved me wrong?

I said all along that we would stay up, he has proved me right in that we have had NO progression this season under his leadership, so how can you argue we are better with him?

How has he proved anyone wrong? His aim was to progress from last season. We have regressed - even though he has been backed to the hilt

Cue excuses such as injuries and bad luck (zzz) (zzz) (zzz) (zzz) (zzz) (zzz)

in fairness the bookies had us as being dead certs for relegation at the start of the season, and they will do at the start of next. personally im not too sure about davey but he seams to have strong backing from the board anyway so either if we like him or not I think he will be in charge next season.

I agree he must stay but.......

His assistant needs to have more experience of the championship, than Ryan Kidd

No - bad refereeing decisions are supposed to even themselves out. Routinely conceding goals in the last 10 minutes is NOT bad luck, it is crap management.

I'm thrilled that we have survived, and have thoroughly enjoyed the trip today but in the end it (staying up) was almost by default. Thinking about how today went, I would wager that, had the final games not been all played at the same time, and had the team not been aware that Norwich were 3-0 down, we would not have gone on to win that game as the players started the game looking like they were going to crap themselves.

Now Davey must go. Then the party can start!!.
