Cavare literally stood like a statue, but everyone else also just stood thinking ooh I hope the ball doesn’t come near me

Atrocious indeed, and not to defend him, but what’s wrong with man marking? You can see with how we set up it’s like a hybrid between man and zonal, and it’s sh*t.

Yes ridiculous from Cavare but how can you play three central defenders and concede from an unmarked header on the six yard line from a set piece?

Harsh blaming one man, yes he played a big part but we had all those players inside theirs and not one fkr of ours made a move to attack the ball.
Not going to keep on about it but zonal marking pffffffffffffff

    Go back toman marking
Make players take responsibility for their manat set pieces.
    It isn't difficult.
We did fine without zonal marking before.

My thoughts exactly. I'm sure that there is a time and place for zonal marking, but I also feel that it requires defenders of a certain ability and intelligence/ experience( that word again) to be able to do it successfully. Man to man is so much easier on the players. "Are you marking someone" - "No" -"Well you should be!! Find the free man and mark him!!"
