Is it possible for a recording to become corrupt? I've just tried watching a couple of different programmes & whilst I can get to the screen to start the recording, they won't play. Currently watching a different recording so what's the problem, corrupt or a temporary glitch?

    Its a feechur.

Mine does it all the time. Sometimes I get a full recording, sometimes part, sometimes it says completed but I can't watch, and sometimes it records something random.

I believe you can defrag the box, but I have never got round to it.

    Probably corrupt.

At the moment I'm getting a lot of "part recorded" due to a "signal failure", it's only losing maybe a second or so, usually at the start of the recording. Checking on Digital Spy it appears the latest software update has caused this.

It's worth regularly resetting (i.e. unplug for about 30 seconds) the box, I do it once a week.

Try resetting the box; Go into services, then 4 system setup. Press 01 select (this is hidden i.e. not an option you can select from the menu). Then select 8 Full system reset.

Warning though it will lose everything you have recorded on the box, so don't do it if you have anything left on there you want to watch.
