    Even the female refs???

    Looked like it was a timer. Surely must be a time limit on each shot in this competition.

    A bit unfair if it's a timer the players are having to reach for their extensions all by themselves.

    Not watched any yet as have been enjoying the weather. Didn't realise it was a timed event.

    Not sure if it is Helen. All the refs carry a device of some sort and appear to activate it after every shot. It’s all I can think of tbh

    It updates the scoreboard in the arena - there isn't a separate official updating the scores at this event. They mentioned it in the commentary last night as a lot of people had been asking the same question.

    Barry Hearn mentioned it in an interview I saw on the new format. All players get tested every day
    and the frame of the table is sanitised when a break ends and the other player comes to the table.
    Of all the sports played, he commented that snooker was the easiest to comply with social distancing
    in that player are able to sit in the corner, at opposite ends of the table
