    Wonder if Don sold the club to him with.

    1. We will always sell your best player for peanuts.

    2. We will charge as much as we can get away with to keep Oakwell as empty as possible.

    3. And due to number 1 and 2, we will always have look for hidden gems in the tranfer market.

    Can't honestly see him saying "Turned down Barnsley Because I thought the board were a bunch of cluless ****s" though, can you?.

    Why are people attacking the Club? They offered him the job and he turned it down. It happens. What else could they have possibly done?

    Reading between the lines it sounds like it's the compensation issue that's at the heart of this.

    But fair play to him for putting an end to the speculation.

    Not often you see a manager come out and issue a statement after rejecting a job offer. Fair play to him, not many would do that.

    No idea who I'd like to see us get now.

    Doesnt he also say he had one meeting with the club where the only thing that was discussed was the clubs ambitions and strategies and after that one meeting hes decided not to bother?

    No but then why say owt at all.He's been offered a job he's turned it down end of story.He's explained his reasons,lets move on.The club can't force him to manage us.
