on 606,says Barnsley will go down because we're not a big club like the other six contenders. He feels it would be a travesty if any of the other six went down. What a ..........
I love the 'we are a big club' syndrome ........... ........... usually culminates in one of them going down!
Well I can tell you.... ...it wouldn't be a travesty if Southampton went down at all. They were awful against us last saturday, completely devoid of any confidence. Played like a side who'd resigned themselves to their fate. And settling a previously agreed £15m contract for an early-payment of £9.1m doesn't inspire much confidence in this "big club" for me. They're in danger, big time.
RE: Well I can tell you.... When we played them at home we battered them for an hour, winning 2-0 cruising, they were shocking, but Wright-Phillips come on and had a stormer, they could have won in the end, but apart from him, they looked pretty dire.
Ah, Wright Phillips... ...he came on as a sub on Saturday. He may have had a little stick about his recent court appearance (angel)
They may well not get another point .......... ......... 5 games left - Bristol City (h); Charlton (a); Burnley (h); West Brom (a); and Sheff Utd (h) ...... worse than our run-in that one even though ours is bad enough!
Think he meant smallest club from Souithampton, us .... ..... Wednesday, Leicester, Coventry and Norwich; i.e. from 3rd bottom up to Norwich
There'll be plenty of upsets at the top and bottom of the table before the end of the season. It's all about holding nerve now at both ends, teams with nothing to lose are often the ones to worry about. Will they put on a show for their fans or will the manager blood some youth?
RE: They may well not get another point .......... It depends how arsed Burnley and the Blunts are. Both could be safely in mid table with nowt to play for, that's the fear.
Warnock blooded a very young team against Walsall when he knew we desperately needed them to win. They lost at home to Walsall and it helped cement our relegation place. I've never forgiven Warnock for that.
Yeah good point .......... ........ also Bristol City will need to hold their nerve, full house expected at St Mary's on Saturday apparently and lots at stake for both clubs, suppose owt can appen really!
RE: Yeah good point .......... I don't subscribe to the opinion that Southampton are doomed already. They have 3 home games left in front of full houses and as you say anything could happen. If we can somehow cobble another 7 points we may be ok. I have a sneaky feeling Norwich are in trouble too. Take a look at their run-in, not easy.
Well as all of them, including ourselves, have been in the Premier League, it would be a travesty if any went down - they should change it to 2 down instead!
RE: Ah, Wright Phillips... You don't know? He was convicted last week - along with another of their lesser players - of stealing handbags, cash & mobile phones from girls in a nightclub. It's all captured on cctv as well! He had dogs abuse any time he went near the ball. Surprised he wasn't sacked by the club tbh. http://www.sundaymirror.co.uk/news/...-in-barmaid-bag-theft-scandal-98487-20345281/
