The team we had out on Tuesday played the best all season.

I just have to take a step back and think - with Steele, a fit Perkins, Done, Silva, Mido, McNulty and others to still play a part - we have a very strong squad now. Let's see if we can keep them all happy.

Wonder who will be in goal on Saturday? Alnwick doing very well at the moment. And if Steele does have a few weeks left to commit, I can only see one GK playing this season.

Agree with some that Rose, Clark and RNL might need a loan spell. Then we haven't even talked about Digby who has been a revelation.

Alnwick seems to be getting better by the game so finally a bit of genuine competition for Steele.

Think Steele needs a few more u21 games in him before been picked for first team but with Ben playing well why should he just walk stright in?.

He shouldn't, and there is a contract needs sorting with Steele. Should we be playing a player who won't be with us next season in place of somebody who will and is playing well? Luke needs to get his contract sorted to be considered at the moment. He might be on his way in January if Alnwick keeps up his form and Steele still won't sign.

    Take your pick:

    Alnwick
    Stones Foster Wiseman Golbourne
    Dawson Craine
    Cywka Mellis Dagnall
    Davies

    Steele
    Hassell Edwards McNulty Collins
    Perkins Digby
    O'Brien Done Silva
    Mido

and that's not including RNL, Clark, Rose, Kennedy, Harewood and Etuhu.

It's probably best if we don't include Harewood and Etuhu.

    No endeavour.

To be fair to Luke though I don't think it's him that has put the brakes on contract talks.

The problem comes when they are all fit, Keith likes to tinker too much in my opinion. Did it toward the end of last season, every game there was 3/4 changes. I prefer a settled team.

No I'm sure that Keef said he wouldn't be sitting down to talk to Luke about his contract until November.

I remember hearing Steele say he just wanted to concentrate on playing and would discuss a contract in the summer, i.e. I am probably off.
