i wonder what davey said to steele when he dropped him for muller. the other week he announced that steele was his number 1 after the fans were cheering for muller. however steele has played well last two games and now he drops him. dont get me wrong muller is fantastic and should always play but steele has raised his game since muller got fit. has davey buckled to fan power by playing muller. interesting...
No he's just played the better keeper muller is better than Steele although Steele is still good enough for this level of football.</p>
because at the time Steele was. Muller wasn't fit. It's better than saying 'right Luke you're only keeping the shirt warm until Heinz is back'
No. Like play Hassell at right back and foster in the middle. Like give Mossto more than five minutes, and not play him with ODJE.
Could be another reason Remember before Muller was injured he was to be sold for 1 million plus. Some were talking several millions with premiership sides interested. Maybe as Steele is playing so well then 1 of them is surplus to requirements and by playing Muller it puts him in the spotlight again. (doh) (doh)
TBH I was surprised Muller was in on Saturday I went to Southampton for the game, Listening to the team announcment on the tannoy I have to say I was surprised.I thought maybe a bit early, perhaps, for Muller to return. However he was superb and commanding throughout. You could sense that the defence also were more comfortable too. I could see nothing to suggest his injury had weakened him in any way either. Luke Steele is a very very good keeper too, do not get me wrong here, but I do think Muller has the edge over him.He has the edge for a very very good reason... EXPERIENCE. Luke will in my view go on to be a highly rated keeper, of that I am sure. But look at it in another light, when ever have we had not one but TWO keepers of such quality, thats a very nice thought.Hopefully we will hang onto them both.
if i was steele i would go find another club. he is good enough to be a no.1 keeper. too good to sit on the bench of a team of relegation certainies / no hopers.
