on the right lines..... a suggestion.....

we have a whipround and sponsor something in his name at a match at the 'Well... (ball, match, player, whatever)

He would get his name in the programme and on the screen and maybe Tim could do a brief obit for the programme....

    Very sad to hear this

I read his diary and was inspired by his positivity and cheerful outlook on life. He fought like a tiger and never gave up. May he rest in peace now his suffering is over.

I had the genuine pleasure of meeting Steve a couple of times - he was a smashing bloke. His attitude & spirit in fighting his disease was always a very humbling experience - I feel honoured he chose to share his thoughts with us.

    God bless you all.

    RIP Steve

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your mum Tim.

Laura sent him the healing crystals as she really believes in alternate healing.

Reading his diary and meeting him was an inspiration to her and us. Good man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Tryly, truly sad sad news. My thoughts are with you and yours.

Didn't actually "know" him but through the BBS I'm sure we all felt like he was a friend.

    Truly saddened.

We need to ring the club, get some costs for matchball...

sponsorship then see if we can raise that amount. We could use the same website they were using for Richard Hammond, as they are a registered charity it means you can get tax back, but not sure how it works.

In any case, something to show Steve's familiy that this community remembers him fondly would be excellent.

    So very sorry

I never met him in person, only on here and by phone a couple of times, but still he felt like a mate. His postings, especially during the dark days of the club administration were an inspiration to us all. His fighting spirit was incredible, He will be very much missed.
My deapest sympathies to you and the rest of the family.

    My thoughts are with you

Steve was a really nice bloke and he'll be missed on here. Glad that he got the promotion in- football is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, but sometimes a promotion or a good win is just what people need when things are tough. I am sure he was a very happy man in May.
