RE: Remember this - courtesy of South Riding? Brilliant, remember they did a story on our game at Hull. Coops doing a somersault over the Humber Bridge and Saville and Rammell playing subbutteo.
The red card at Port Vale........... He stood at the entrance to the tunnel threatening the Port Vale player he'd had a tussle with - i think he also made out that said Vale player was going to get it later Ha! Whop got sent off with Currie in the League game with Chelsea?
He was one of my favourite ever Barnsley players. He wasn't the most skilful of footballers, but I just loved his attitude and his approach to the game. And boy could the lad jump. Referees often gave fouls against him for climbing, often when he was nowhere near the opposing defender, because they couldn't believe he could jump that high. It still upsets me to think of him dying at such a young age. Thanks for the memories Coops.
And now Beagrie gets all the praise for his unique celebration which started off a few more They dont know he was playing for Stoke when Coops did it ! Great memories, only 7 or 8 during that cup run Super Cooper !
