You have an awful lot to do as Captain.

I don't envy you in the slightest.
You have my full support, but tonight, it was total agony watching that.

    I envy him.

He's a professional footballer, playing for arguably the lifeblood of this town. It's every young lad's dream to represent their team, and to be captain, oh, and to get paid rather handsomely for it too!

    I envy him alright.

Playing football everyday, AND getting paid for it. Jesus christ, if Simon Davey called me and asked me to play for Barnsley, but I wouldn't be getting paid, and it might require me coming in on a Sunday morning, to play on lush surfaces, both indoor and outdoor, I'd snap his arm off and I'd damn near run my blood to water. They ought to swap positions for a week, and try playing on some of the cow fields that we have to play on every Sunday for the sheer love of the game. Not just so they can collect a big fat cheque at the end of the week.

    Whatever happened to that?

Whatever happened to playing football for the love of the game?

    I envy them all.
