On a more serious note, just had a quick glance on the Stoke fans forum, virtually every post completely negative, no expectation to get owt against us.. Everything from fitness levels to attitude and general player crappyness. Reading that made this forum seem like some sort of ultra positive happy clappers anonymous site. Ps.. Millwall just dropping Charlton right back into the relegation mix. You reds!!!
I look at clubs like Stoke Bolton and Huddersfield and it really concerns me when some supporters still want the owners to throw money at us we have no realistic chance of recouping.
Yes, their fans are very negative. So were Hulls but they got a win. Hope we keep our concentration and go all out for the win from the off.
Problem we've got is Barnsley's must be buzzing right now. A bunch of humble lads on comparably low salaries who were resigned to league 1 and anything else is a bonus. They are now on the brink of one of the most astonishing achievements in championship history. Meanwhile, our bunch of useless, overpaid jerks are on the brink of the biggest calamity in championship history. The most expensive side to ever be relegated to league one? Must be.
I seem to remember the last time we played Stoke they had hardly scored a goal but still managed to put a hatful past us at oakwell. Today I'm letting my natural pessimism come to the fore.
I prefer it when opposition fans are over cocky and underestimate us before a match,then we surprise them with a quality that belies our lowly league position. Stupid Millwall fans (probably oblivious to the current form table) were predicting 4-0 & 5-0 wins for them before our recent match.
