    very astute comment in last sentence-why oh why is he so slow about things</p><div class="M2FullADate">3 December 2006</div><div class="M2FullAHeadline">LEEDS 2-2 BARNSLEY</div><div class="M2FullAByline">Lindsay Sutton At Elland Road</div><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="1">COMEBACK king Daniel Nardiello put Leeds to the sword - but United boss Dennis Wise was more cut up by a disallowed goal.</p><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="2">Matt Heath headed in what the Elland Road fans thought was the winner, but linesman Carl Evans insisted that there had been a foul - and referee Kevin Wright accepted his judgment.</p><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="3">Wise said: &quot;I've shown the linesman the video and he's still making out he's seen a foul, but it wasn't.</p><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="4">&quot;The same linesman had made a mistake a few minutes earlier. Maybe he's making up for it.</p><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="5">&quot;It hurts, but I could handle it if he'd admitted his mistake. I just don't where he got it from,&quot; Wise added.</p><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="6">That controversy apart, nothing can take the shine off Nardiello's two goals, his first strikes since coming back from a fractured collar bone three games ago. The 24-year-old one-time Manchester United prospect proved that he is now back in business.</p><p class="add-linkout" /><div class="center" id="mpuad" style="DISPLAY: inline"><div class="M2MpuAdvertisement" id="mpuadheader" style="DISPLAY: block">Advertisement</div><div class="center"><script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"></script><script language="javascript" src="http://ad.doubleclick.net/adj/sundaymirror.4240/sport_mpu_centre_300x250;sz=300x250;pos=centre;sect=football;psect=sport;zone=sport;templ=page;tile=3;ord=6409533288122067000?" type="text/javascript"></script><script language="JavaScript1.1" src="http://altfarm.mediaplex.com/ad/js/8018-43752-14624-3?mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]&mpvc="></script><noscript /><script language="JavaScript" src="http://img-cdn.mediaplex.com/0/documentwrite.js"></script><script language="VBScript"></script><object id="8018/hospital_short_300x250_shortcode." codebase="" height="250" width="300" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" name="movie153"><param value="7938" name="_cx" /><param value="6615" name="_cy" /><param value="" name="FlashVars" /><param value="http://img-cdn.mediaplex.com/0/8018/hospital_short_300x250_shortcode.swf" name="Movie" /><param value="http://img-cdn.mediaplex.com/0/8018/hospital_short_300x250_shortcode.swf" name="Src" /><param value="Opaque" name="WMode" /><param value="0" name="Play" /><param value="-1" name="Loop" /><param value="High" name="Quality" /><param value="" name="SAlign" /><param value="-1" name="Menu" /><param value="" name="Base" /><param value="" name="AllowScriptAccess" /><param value="ShowAll" name="Scale" /><param value="0" name="DeviceFont" /><param value="0" name="EmbedMovie" /><param value="" name="BGColor" /><param value="" name="SWRemote" /><param value="" name="MovieData" /><param value="1" name="SeamlessTabbing" /><param value="0" name="Profile" /><param value="" name="ProfileAddress" /><param value="0" name="ProfilePort" /><param value="all" name="AllowNetworking" /><param value="false" name="AllowFullScreen" /></object><noscript /></div></div>

<p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="7">His goals aside, Nardiello (right) was a constant thorn in Leeds' flesh.</p><p class="add-linkout" /><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="8">The home side can point to Eddie Lewis hitting the woodwork with a curling effort, and to Heath's disallowed 70th minute 'goal'.</p><p class="add-linkout" /><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="9">But plucky Barnsley were worth a draw as they took their current run to seven points out of nine under Simon Davey and ended a streak of eight away defeats.</p><p class="add-linkout" /><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="10">Caretaker boss Davey said that stab victim Ronnie Wallwork, on loan from West Brom, who was attacked in a Manchester nightclub in midweek, was &quot;comfortable&quot; in hospital and that their shock over the incident had helped give his team an extra incentive.</p><p class="add-linkout" /><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="11">He added: &quot;I'm pleased with Danny getting his goals.</p><p class="add-linkout" /><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="12">As for the disallowed goal, I thought our keeper, Nick Colgan, was obstructed.&quot;</p><p class="add-linkout" /><p class="add-linkout" align="left">Nardiello put Barnsley ahead after three minutes.</p><p class="add-linkout" /><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="13">He cut in from the left, outwitted Shaun Derry and dummied loan signing Ugo Ehiogu before firing into far corner. Tresor Kandol, making his first start since arriving from Barnet, headed the equaliser after Neil Austin failed to clear.</p><p class="add-linkout" /><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="14">Nardiello regained the Tykes' lead with a firm drive past Graham Stack after beating Leeds' offside trap.</p><p class="add-linkout" /><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="15">Even then, former England defender Ehiogu showed why Wise has brought him from Middlesbrough as he made it 2-2 in first-half added-time.</p><p class="add-linkout" /><p class="add-linkout" align="left" nd="16">Colgan's time-wasting was punished by referee Wright who added on some precious extra seconds that gave Ehiogu his chance to head home from a move set up by Ian Westlake and Derry.</p>
