whats sad about it? an excellent way to keep in touch with relatives and friends who you cant meet up with very often. maybe you dont have many friends to talk to, thats why you dont see the positives in it?

That doesn't work when your friends have moved out of the area. For example it's a bit hard for me to meet face to face my friends who emigrated to New Zealand or the one who lives in Tokyo. This helps.
