Devaney is a right-footed winger who has made his reputation on the left wing. Strange, but there are some advantages:
    1. If he chooses to cut inside the full-back, he has the ball on his strong foot and is going past the right back's weaker foot - his left.
    2. Most goalscoring chances for a left-sided player fall to their right foot. This happened in reverse yesterday, when Devaney's sitter came to his left foot when playing on the right and he fluffed it.
    3. Devaney can ship a decent cross with his left as well.
All this says that he is probably better used down the left, where he has made is name.
    4. Shuker does not look at home down the right. He looks like a driver who got lost in Brightside.

but I think Hayes could do an equally good job down either right or left midfield.
Another 'toughie' coming up at Griffin Park.
For Brentford, I expect that it will b

Sorry - should read 'Shuker doesn't look at home down the left.'
