    Tough call on Cadden.
He`s been one of our strongest players over the last year (and one of my favs).

Got to agree, Phillips been poor. Played a long and hopefully left into the box last night when Cotter and Williams out wide on the right,Then late tracking back as penalty conceded. Then Pompey number 6 unchallenged on left hand side by Phillips to head home. He wasn't good against Burton either and has list his shooting boots.

Unfortunately the damage had been done by the first twenty minutes.

Same I really like him but I think he’s had a few poor games this season & he’s got a young kid playing well behind him so I think he’s one of the most likely candidates to lose his spot.

Hasn’t got going again after that harsh red card at Wembley. Hopefully won’t take him too much longer

I’d actually thought at time that it was Kane who lobbed in the hopeful ball but I watched the highlights and realised it was Phillips. Terrible option considering we had two players in space wide right. Catalyst for the break and subsequent penalty….

Kane and Phillips haven't become bad players over night, maybe Collins system doesn't have them in the area's where they are most effective.
Tippy tappy pointless stuff on the edge of our box rarely ends well for managers, we looked a totally different side in the second half when we pushed up the pitch and played stuff quickly and foreward.

I agree, we have an Andersen, Thomas and Kitching sized hole in our defence at the moment.

Kane was the architect of most of our problems inn the first half. Passing back & playing us into trouble too often. Was still doing it when we were 3-0 down. He is a tidy footballer, but too negative.

I seemed to think we moved into more of a 442 after the substitutions. Cadden and Russell may have lost their places to Dodgson and Styles and also Okeefe in for Cotter to enable the 442.

4-4-2 second half, but was more fluid when we had the ball. It is probably a strategy against the better sides, as it allows wide players to attack, which is Cadden & Cotter's strengths. O'Keeffe seems a more all round wing back than Cotter, so for 3-5-2 I think he deserves the start IMO.

Only Wigan were a strong team in our 4 match winning run IMO. We did keep 4 clean sheets.

We were pressed by a front 3 by Pompey & the manager & the players got it wrong. Just need to learn. We did in the second half...

High press then replace with Cotter,Cadden,Marsh and Watters depending on how game is going for last 30 mins and continue high press.
