Techy Help Please

    I am in need of a new graphics card. How do i know if my card is AGP or not ?

    If it isn't AGP, you must have a very old PC. If the card is in a brown slot on the motherboard, which is offset with all the white slots, then it's AGP.

    You need to check in system properties as to how fast the AGP bus is in your PC.

    what happens if it's a picture card? One for his knob and all that - veeeery dodgy!

    It is in a brown slot offset from the rest. Therefore it is AGP ?

    Why do i need to check in sytem properties to find out how fast the AGP bus is ? What difference does this make and does it limit my choice of graphics cards ?
    My P.C is about 3 years old btw.
