techy help please

Think may have a virus but Norton and spysweeper not picking it up , I have also tried AGV, spybot,Adaware.
The symptoms are.... I can get on to internet and surf most sites but can not launch any log in pages, ebay. msn. emails etc.....
at work at mo hoping one of you stars can come up with the problem and an answer

try resetting your internet setting to default.

try some other spyware scanner like Adaware too.

 

Interesting. Someone else I know has exactly the same problem as you.

Can you remember what site you visited last when this happened?

It wasn't Adobe by any chance was it?

Dont think so Tattershall, infact one of the last things I did was put a newer version of Autoroute on! I have considered it being responsible but I aint clever enough with PCs to know how etc.
The version I put on is 2006 and it was a snide, I only did it as a favour to a friend as it would not upload on his .... I tested it!

 

If you have Win Xp, create a restore point now. Then restore your m/c to a time when everything was ticketty boo.

Start/Help & Support/Undo changes to your computer with System Restore/Create a restore point

Then,
Start/Help & Support/Undo changes to your computer with System Restore/Restore my computer to an earlier time

That should sort it.

thanks for advice, the link that rosco provided was the first I tried and it picked up 4 items one worm ,something called kizlo, and 2 other entitys
