Just bought a laptop and it doesnt have a tv out card just wondering wether its possible to either get one fitted and how much it would cost or..... get a cable which i dont need to have a tv out card for.. e.g from the monitor socket straight from there into my tv?

will you be able to connect your laptop to your pc once you have bought one of them and installed it?
you shouldn't need a "card"..... http://www.keyzone.com/converters/grand-hv.htm something like this... most laptops come with a VGA out (like this http://www.ust.hk/itsc/classroom/notebook/photo/notebook_vga_port.jpg) so you would need a VGA to TV converter, whether you can buy cables like this direct (ie VGA to scart) I am unsure, or you would run through a converter like the one at the top...
Do you mean to actually watch TV on your PC through your laptop? I have no idea, can't help you there...
