They refuse to identify English produce from Scottish or Welsh, and when approached retorted that England was complicated because it was a large heavily populated country. When it was pointed out that German and French goods were identified as such, and had far greater land area and population than England, they had no answer.

It leads me to believe they are anti-English and at worse RASCIST. Bad show from a company established by a Jewish family

Quite simply, Produce doesn't come from one source. You may buy a lb of spuds, but they won't have all come from the same field or county. Only the supplier code on the packing will tell you this. Generic packaging for 'British' products is the only way around this.

They will do, but only on certain lines. Plus, they'll probably own / have significant investment in the farm.

Which lines have ya seen listed with the farm name on?

Everything I've looked on that is British produce - potatoes, carrots, sprouts, cauliflower etc

They have probably been told to follow the Prescott line. As you know our pugalist Deputy Prime Minister has tried to inflict the breakup of England into regions (according to some, at the behest of the EU), so what better way than to pretend it does not exist. The saltire clad Gordon Brown, having played a part in the devolution of government in Scotland and Wales (which has encouraged more nationalistic fervour in these lands); is now trying to play the 'Britishness' card. So don't be surprised if goods are marked Scottish, Welsh, British......
