REDS SLASH THE COST OF FOOTBALL AT OAKWELL
Posted on: Tue 05 May 2009

BARNSLEY Football Club has slashed the cost of watching the Reds in Championship action at Oakwell during the 2009/2010 campaign.

Adult season tickets for 2009/2010 have been reduced by £20 with juvenile U18s and senior citizens' prices also cut as the Reds head into another campaign in the Coca Cola Championship. Season ticket prices for youngsters aged 12 and under remain at just £25!

After the success of the Club's 'Stronger Together' initiative, Barnsley Football Club are delighted to announce that youngsters under the age of 12 (at the start of the new season), will be able to watch all the action for free when accompanied by a paying adult as the Reds again look to build for the future at Oakwell.

Adults will be able to buy a season ticket in the CK Beckett Stand for £270. Elsewhere in the ground adult prices are:

East and West Upper £340
East Upper (Family Area) £330
East and West Lower £290
Disabled Corner £200

Match day ticket prices will remain at the current rate.

Season ticket renewal packs, including a letter from Patrick Cryne, will be posted out in the very near future.

I'll be getting a season ticket

The prices are too good to miss. But I'd also like to see the club do 2 maybe 3 £5 games next season. They've been very successful these last few years. It'd be nice to do one earlier in the season, particularly if we're on a good run, then if we play good football and win the game more fans will be tempted back for more home games.

£11.74 per Championship game

in Ponty - fantastic value. Cheaper than matchday price at Dewsbury for 3rd tier Rugby League.

Add to that retention of seat, plus guarantee of same for any Cup ties - great deal.

Well done BFC! (nodding2fingers)

Aye, I know - and I also happen to think that 12 quid is good value for what you get there. No disrespect intended at all towards the Rams.

I was just trying to put the value of the offer into some perspective.
