Asbaghi has received a great deal of flak on here. Derby aside the games against Stoke, Fulham and Bristol we've played some of our best games this season. How much credit goes to Asbaghi ? or do punters feel it's all down to the two signings? Does anyone want to revise their opinion.?

I think he's done well considering most of the time he's had a handful of players out who'd at the very least be on the bench. He's stopped playing Moon and rightly dropped Benson from the squad last night so he's up for making big decisions.

Looking at his record I'm still OK with my assessment.

He's started putting round pegs in round holes' we've always had capable players but certainly schopp and to a certain extenct poya totally confused things with their bizarre team selections' the loanees have deffo made a big difference aswell' they've been like a breath of fresh air...

I think he's learning. I would still reserve judgment for now until the end of the season.

This, thankfully he does seem to be learning and didn’t drop back in force yesterday

And what is a coach/manager supposed to do when there are 11 round holes to fill but only five or six round pegs available and for the rest of the pegs there appears to be no agreement as to what shape they really are?

14 points from 8 games, after getting 14 points from the previous 29 games. Not sure that can all be on the two loan signings (plus Wolfe being available).

The coaching team deserves some credit.

I've given my opinion in another thread. I think Poya ( and his coaching team) deserve an enormous amount of credit for the way they've stuck at it during a difficult time. Says a lot about his resilience and tenacity. He's found a settled group and he's developing them as a unit. The players seem hungry and motivated. They also seem bonded. It's clearly the case when we see them on the pitch.
I think the two loanees have been the spark enabling Poya to focus on positive attacking movement based on the sound defensive unit he's built. The main problem has been CM but its looking increasingly likely that Matty Wolfe could be the answer to our prayers.
Having said all of that don't think you'll find many wanting to revise their opinion!!

To be fair to him, most of the time he was crap we were basically playing without a midfield.

Usually helps to not have a third of your team being passengers each game.

You know I've rated him from the first moment he came in and we went away to Peterborough and focussed on the basics. It didn't appease the boo boys but I was willing to look past that. I'd keep him for as long as he wants to stay. He was gutted after the Fulham game and what impressed me is it wasn't all talk.

It can be argued that we've pick up since disco Devaney has been on the bench..
Poya from day one will be judged on where we finish come May..

The loan signings have improved the match day squad significantly and have been one of the reasons we’ve played well of late. That along with not involving players who are ***** also helps.

I missed the Fulham game unfortunately. He's doing OK for now so obviously gets credit for that. Have I seen signs that he's a good manager, not really, not yet. But he's young and learning and I hope he stays with us and I'd love to be proved wrong because that would mean the Reds staying up and actually not facing a relegation battle next season
I personally think Schopp drew a far shorter straw that Ashbagi who's had the benefit of the Mads Helik partnership again and Morris as well as the loanees.

We'd already hit rock bottom under Schopp too.

Its also worth remembering Schopp had to endure the worst effects of the summer exodus that affected too many aspects of day to day operations and he wasn't allowed to bring in coaching support that he knew and trusted which I think was hugely unfair on him.
