I agree. Outstanding TV. Even series 5 (and I agree with your comments regarding it) is better than most of the other output around. Which is your favourite series? For me, the dockside storyline of Series 2 was my favourite, but I really enjoyed how each series had a different central focus while continuing the main over-arching storyline. I don't recall any other series doing anything similar to this.
The first time I watched it I was a bit underwhelmed by series 2, but it's now definitely my favourite.

I think the order for me is 2>4>3=1>5. On a first watch through 4 was definitely my favourite, it's incredible telly. I'm envious of you being able to watch it for the first time.
I think the only thing that everyone would agree on is that 5 will always be the last item on the list, and it was still very watchable.
Agreed, still the best TV show for me and to which all others are judged. Great writing and great performances but the thing that really got me was how much you cared for the supporting characters. Bubbles and Omar were my favourites.
