This 'ere plane crash.

    So, the plane lost power about 10 seconds before it landed. As it was already coming down to land, why is the pilot a hero?? Surely he could not possibly have done anything, it just crashed!

    Because of the way he crashed it in a controlled manner apparently!

    It took such skill to think to yourself, "oh ****" as the plane hit the deck, give him a medal!

    of course the worth of a medal is judged by how big it is - that Victoria Cross...bloody rubbish!

    Radio1 was running a clip of one of the passengers. He definitely says that the pilot deserves a medal as big as a frying pan. Dustbin lid must be too big. You have to trust the opinion of somebody who was on the plane.

    he thought he could touch the plane...... so by london blackcab story standards the driver was probably in oxford

    Not time to hit reboot though with 10 seconds to go

    Both engines wouldnt increase power hmmmm

    Jesus christ. The guy has just landed a plane with no power and saved got knows how many lifes.

    Give him some credit!
