A good choice would be Potter from Brighton but as it is Chelsea they will want a bigger name so will end up with a Poch or Zidane etc.
He had to go. His behaviour with Conte was the latest incident of pressure getting to him. They let in about half a goal a game in his first fifty matches in charge, but over a goal a game in his next fifty.
Just shows how much attention I pay to what’s going on in the PL. I was under the impression he was doing a good job. Obviously not! What went on with Conte, did he smack him or summat?
Hope it's not Potter. They'll ruin him.. They're probably trying to bury the ghost of Abramovic at the same time. That & revivals at Spurs, Arsenal & possibly Man U, could see them slip out of Europe..
I expected them to be outside the top 4 even before sacking Tuchel as they lost all their defence pretty much this summer and had no striker to start season. They have added Auba but he was awful at the end of his Arsenal days. Potter would be good if they are willing to let him build a project up over a few years but they won't allow that time so would most likely end up sacked again within 12/18 months. He is a class manager though.
If I was a Chelsea fan my number one choice would be Stone Cold Sean Dyche. He deserves a chance at a top club but would stand more chance of getting it if his name was Seanio Dychenio.
Crackers decision, they let him have input during the transfer window, blow over £250M and get rid after a couple of poor results and one freak one. (Dinamo) Pretty sure they were just a good number 9 off being a great team and I think Tuchel would have got the most out of Aubamayang in that position. Feel sorry for Brighton if Potter goes but it’s good to see British managers who have worked their way up with the unfashionable teams given a crack at the big jobs.
