A very good appointment in Danny Wilson,a very good performance at Leeds and still people go on about "Hillcroft"Like all managers Hill had a good spell and a disastrous spell and was rightly sacked ,Flitcroft had one of the most memorable spells in Barnsley history followed by a shocking spell and he too was sacked. What I can't stomach is constant griping about 2 men who worked there nuts off for this club but ultimately lost there way and there job..Isn't it time to move on and lets see where our new adventure takes us.

You are correct, but there will always be a comparison versus the previous manager......it's inevitable.

I relax tonight, knowing we are in a better position to save our season.

The process of hiring and then firing management teams is a problem that could be dealt with differently if managers were willing to step down from their current post to a lower position.
For example - what Mellon has recently done.
But what usually happens is that when a new manager comes in all the slate is wiped clean - and in doing that I think the baby is often thrown out with the bath water.

I know there is a lot of bad feeling towards Keith Hill, but personally I would have thought that Keith had a lot to offer. He more or less built the current team on a shoestring budget and brought some excellent players to the club. In my view there was a higher percentage success rate of the signings compared to the past previous managers.
A guy like that who has an eye for a good player should not have been allowed to leave.
Obviously he wasn't able to get the team tactics right so someone needed to step into that role. If possible a manager should have been brought in to take over while keeping Keith Hill at the club.
To add to this we all know how respected Flicka was with the players and the fans.

So in my view this should, if possible, have happened.
    Danny Wilson as manager
Keith Hill as the assistant manager
David Flitcroft remains as the players coach

In this way things can be changed while keeping a modicum of continuity at the club

So now we are expected to say nothing about Hill and Flitcroft?

Yet there are still plenty of links to rochdale/Bury interviews etc. People keep harping on about how great Flickers is etc, but now we cant say anything bad about how those two have wasted 2 and half seasons and who knows how much cash on a broken project with fantastic human beings ?

Just a quick addition, I agree that it is time to move on, but I thought that when Hill went and Flitcroft !!

I agree lets move on , sick of hearing about two people who showed little respect for the club it's fans and its history, they just didn't get Barnsley or its football club
