I'm not a vindictive man and I don't like picking on small fry like Rochdale (sorry, but they ARE small) but, for what they as a club have contributed to our recent demise I would love it if we sent them down with the three points that secured sixth spot for us. I know it was our fault for going on a crazy recruitment drive in the Spotland area but I would still like them relegated (and then Hill sacked of course!)
Agreed. Even worse people wanting to stick it to Rochdale fans and hope they are relegated. Pathetic. Move on ffs.
I can't figure it out. I have no feelings one way or the other for Rochdale. Hill was desperate for success whilst at Oakwell. He shouldn't be villified for not acheiving it. Save the hate for those who deserve it; Blunts, Fowls, Leeds, ManUre
Nowt but a bit of piss take. I hope they do well to be honest, proper football club. All Keef ever did was spout off like everyone does on here and all our sensitive souls took offence.
Agreed - why on earth would we as Barnsley fans have any beef with Rochdale fans - I just don't get it - in my eyes they are proper football fans - all the fans who are mid 40s or under have supported them all their life without seeing them move out of the basement division for 25 years on the bounce until the last couple of years and yet they still kept going. I don't like KH and never did, but I hope Rochdale don't get relegated - their fans don't deserve it.
Agreed. He did keep us up one season. Those who say it was only because Pompey were deducted points have missed the point. Had they not lived beyond their means we do not know how the league would have turned out. Kith Hill kept us up because we did not use money we did not have.
Had 2 things happened I think Keith Hill would have had success at Barnsley: 1. His attitude towards the fans was different. He totally misread the fans. Even if you don't mean it, you should behave in a certain way towards the fans in public, because ultimately it is they who will determine when you get sacked, which is eventually what happened. 2. His team wasn't dismantled in January. He was desperately unlucky with Jacobs injury, unlucky to lose Drinkwater and I think that selling Vaz Te for 500k was sheer incompetence by the Board. Diabolical negotiation.
i hope rochdale get promoted,at the back of us of course,i'm sick to fcukin death of the usual money suspects ruling the divisions.
I think he was fine, until the fans booed his new side 30 minutes into his first league game at Oakwell. I reckon that did it for him. It ****** me off at the time. Imagine booing your team after 30 minutes of your first home league game of the season, off the back of a point at Forest..
