Good luck to you and your coaching staff. Im not going to rant on about today, i expected a four nil. Actually (,please dont have a go) imho it was absolutely the right team to play to show our new guys where we are....and how much he has to do. Heres my A,B,C of his priorities. 1.Get em fit ...first and foremost 2.Get us organised (special notes to defending) 3.Work on passing and shooting.(a lot) 4. Work on set pieces. 5.Find your own winning formation for the players we have...and stick to it. Oh a good luck fella!!
Only seen the goals, but based on that and previous games I’d ask him to remind the full backs that they are allowed to stop crosses and the centre backs that they’re allowed to defend them. Could probably do with giving Helik a rocket as well.
Go back to high energy, high press, long ball, win second balls.Start with Morris/freezer/Woodrow then swap out any two in second half for Adebajeyo,Cole,Iseka,Oulare. Easy int it bloody play what players are good at FFS !!!!!
Its soooo diffecult to take isnt it? Going from 5th best team in the league to the unorganized, unfit rabble we see most weeks. One thing i can never fault is our application but we are dire.
First thing you do when taking over a struggling side is tighten things up and make them hard to beat. I’m really not sure how Asbaghi’s going to do that with this rabble. An extra body in midfield would be a start. Problem is we have only one half decent midfielder in Gomez. The rest would struggle to make a bottom end L1 side. No money available in January either. If he turns this around he’s a coaching genius.
Good luck Poya, all the fans are fully behind you. As long as you win every game, dont play Oduor upfront, make sure you drop Woodrow, Benson, Williams, Vic, Kitching, Brittain, Palmer, Frieser, Styles, Moon and finally you have to kick Conway in the bollockx. Then you are one of us.
Id get em fit for a start and getting them proper pressing....that wont cost anything....and i fully i expect us to sell at least 2 players in jan (better ones).
The only thing I need to see from here on in is a plan being formulated for a levelling up of our decline in performance and outlook to games. Ultimately it may well be too late for survival in the Championship this season but we need to find a way to stay in games even against the strongest of opposition. If that means turgid performances and boring football then it might just give us a platform to get a bit more confidence. Going down to League 1 again is a sobering thought but we`ve done it before and had some of the most exciting seasons I`ve ever experienced in 50+ years of watching. I`m fed up of arguing who should be dropped/selected/in some cases vilified from week to week. I think that the majority of squad are good enough given the right leadership from the head coach - maybe one or two aren`t but most fitted very well into a successful side last year with strong leadership. Happy clapping and all that but we`re not the worst I`ve ever seen at Oakwell . COYR
Agreed it just needs Baldrick and a cunning plan ! Seriously though we need to find a plan A ,a better plan B just in case plan A doesn’t work and then stick to it rigidly, get the team well drilled get everyone on the same wavelength then watch the results come in Easy
Here is my plan and remember. 1 Its not all about winning its about not losing. 2 If they cant win we cant lose THAT WOULD BE A GOOD START
