    Report:
A game of two halves. 1st half we were very poor. Wednesday played some attractive football and at times made us look like dummies. On a positive note, we were creating chances and could have entered the 2nd half at two a piece. Second half we looked a lot more promising although still a bit lacklustre in bits. We seemed to miss Colace as we had no-one breaking up play for us. All in all a great result from an average performance. We had the best chances and although wednesday had the ball in 1st half, they only created 2 chances and scored from them both.

Steele played ok. Made 2 good saves but his kicking was a bit poor today. Hassell wasnt at his best but had a better 2nd half. Kozluk was at fault for the 1st goal as he should have put the ball in row Z but isisted on playing head tennis with himself. Moore had a fantastic game. Won everything in the air and some great defending. Foster was a bit sluggish today but still performed ok.

Devaney had a poor poor game. He just ran straight into the defenders and apart from the cross for Butterfields goal, he was awful. I have never slated him but he is getting found out now. Adam Hammill should be our no1 right side midfielder. Butterfield and Anderson did ok although Anderson looked a bit off pace today. Butterfield took some nice touches and took his goal well. Remind me a bit of Brian Howard in the way he plays. If any midfielder was to get injured again, I wouldnt think twice of putting him in. Well Done lad. JCR was just not in the game today. He must have had the ball 2 times in all the first half.

Macken was the better of the strikers today and should have had 4 goals but for some good keeping from Lee Grant. Probably scored the hardest of his four chances come to think of it. Odejayi had a battle with Darren Purse today. They had one hell of a battle and probably came off 50-50. No real chances for him but probably right decision to start him otherwise Purse would have won everything.

All in all a fantastic result considering the performance but we still could have won it funiily enough. It was the first game of the season and we havent seen the best yet but im looking forward to the signings next week and hopefully we will see some flowing footie at the well next saturday. UUUUUUUU RRRRRREEEEDDDDDDDSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

    Fair review I think

Kozzie - Most games plays well and does some amazing last ditch interventions that bale us out. Then again he makes clangers like today that cost us goals.

    Fair comments.

Steele was good, except his kicking. Kozzy and Bobby were poor in first half, but improved in 2nd, Foster wasn't great either in 1st half but was back to himself in 2nd. JCR was poor in 1st half and didn't improve much, Anderson showed touches of brilliance, but was pretty lacklustre, Butterfield continues to impress, not phased at all, welcome to the first team, took his goal well, Devaney is only cover. Macken did the holding up job very well today and should have had more goals but he did take his very well, wasn't an easy chance, he worked it well. ODJI made a nuisance of himself and he definitely looks like he has improved. Boggy came on and looked lively.

RE: Today ratings and report..............Kozluk was dire

    Steele 8 (another solid display)
    Hassell 5 (off form)
    Moore 8 (great)
    Foster 7 (good)
Kozluk 0 (someone near me said he must have put a bet on for Wendy to win. Responsible for both Wendy goals. Not good enough. Get rid.)

Devaney 3 (crap. Is this player good enough for the Championship?)
Anderson 6 (missed header in first half)
Butterfield 8 (gets better and better)
JCR 5 (has someone put a bid in for him because he was unusually quiet)
Macken 8 (best game for 2 seasons)
Odejayi 5 (back to his old self)

    Bogdanovic 8 (quality)

I have to admit that today Kozluck was very , very poor.
He simply wasn't at the races and I am prepared to put his performance behind me today but there needs to be a massive improvement.
He was our weak link and they ran him ragged,
Not many of the players can come out with much credit after the first half performance, apart from perhaps Steele - that says it all.
Foster, Moore, Kozluck, even Sir Bobby.
Forwards chasing shadows and a midfield losing the plot rapidly.
Thank God it all changed at half time and full credit to the Lads.
very proud of the way they turned it round.
I do think Wednesday have a lot to do.

Campbell Ryce was poor and Macken was shabby up until his amazing goal!
At halftime I was thinking why has he not changed any players! But they changed tactics and Butterfield scored. I was shouting for Macken to be off for Boggy and then he goes and scores an awesome goal to make it 2-2. Wednesday were dominant in first half, but the winning (drawing!) mentality Davey goes on about was there to see as they came back and very nearly got the victory. 2 goals away from home is an improvement on last year. They only scored twice away from home against Charlton and Swansea. Wednesday were rubbish in both matches last year, and if they play like they did in the first half all year they will be near the top of the league. The players and manager deserve alot of credit. Lets hope they can beat Coventry???

Macken lost the ball and was pushed off ball loads of times! He was rubbish up until his Boggy v Man City esque goal! People confuse Butterfield gfor Macken and think that was good Macken, when in fact it was actually young Butterfield!!!
