Whilst I am first to admit we were beaten by a better team, what is hard to accept is the manner of our performance. We know that even in our own league, player for player we don't match up to many, so it stands to reason if we let the opposition to dictate the tempo and shape of the game we will usually lose. Tonight Southampton were allowed to basically play however they felt like it and we never got at the them except for a ten minute period in the second half. I haven't seen many teams feel able to play basically 2-5-3/2-4-4 with the ball and 4-3-3 without it away from home such was their certainty that we wouldn't be able to put them under any pressure. Individually and collectively it looked like a practice match and even their players could barely be bothered celebrating their first two goals so routine was it. I am now seriously worried, no I didn't expect us to win but rolling over and getting our tummies tickled isn't good enough.

That's not what everyone was saying before the season started I honestly believe we have the players, what's gone so badly wrong since the end of last season ?He resigns them all after the efforts they put in last season and they just ain't done the business.
