Sounds like he's got the Coventry job, hope it doesn't spur them on too much tomorrow

Knowing him, he'll nod home a cross at the back post.

I don't think he has got the knack in English football, as he had in Scottish football. Him getting the Coventry job will tell us if we've missed a genius or we've dodged a bullet, when we offered him the managers job here.

If he has any influence tonight, it will be a 9-0-1 formation. Hope not. Could give us a game tonight with the recent win. The Samuels lad looks a good finisher and we know how hard Jimbo will be working in midfield.

He was offered it & refused it just before we gave Flitcroft it full time.

Sorry, we haven't offered him the job, I'm getting confused with him & Terry Butcher, I've had a long day & freezing my Kahunas off doing it

Last game as manager was at Oakwell, his first game back now at Oakwell. But in the stands. A bit like LJ last Tuesday at Scunny. The result will be different though.

Good manager and strong appointment for a club in a division 3 relegation battle. Credit to him for doing a Phil Brown by getting back into management lower than you'd have thought, rather than waiting around for a championship job.
