I thought it was the best of the season. Team selection and formation/tactics were good, thought we were the better team for much of the game. We were unlucky to go 1 down, but rallied well and fully deserved the equaliser, and to be honest we were the only team trying to win it after that. Reading weren't very good, and cynical, which I was suprised about as I always thought their manager decent, but have revised my opinion now I've seen this team of his play. McCourt was brilliant, easily MOM for me, a real pleasure to watch. He just has so much natural ability, drops his shoulder, shimmies his hips, and he's away and gone. An old fashioned maverick / crowd pleaser. I thought the formation looked a solid 4-4-2, with two wide midfielders (Mellis & McCourt) given licence to roam inside. Thought Fox did a solid job, allowing Perkins to be the more progressive of the two CMs, and get back to a more positive influence on the game. Pederson will be class in this league, great movement, that bit of devilment in him that good strikers have. COG took his goal cooly. Thoroughly enjoyed the full 98 minutes tonight, more of the same please.
