Now we’ll see if our owners have any ambition.....

I reckon they’ll come to regret that decision.

Something wasn't right this season though, they've really struggled.

Why? It's not like he's won anything despite the quality at his disposal. Something ain't been right this season.

It's been coming since the Champions League final. He's had a talented side for years now that's always falling just short. With a better manager that group of players would have won something by now.

Are you seriously saying the squad is better than both city and Liverpool? It’s not even close

I aren't. I do think a team with the likes of Kane, Eriksen and Alli should have won something in the five years he's been in charge though even if it was just a FA Cup or League Cup.

Sadly old fashioned these days- none of the big clubs care much for either of those. I guarantee city would have traded their fa cup for a cl final last season.

They are certainly good enough to have won something by now but haven't. They had a fantastic opportunity to win the league a couple of years ago but appeared to bottle it in the last few weeks and we ended up with Leicester as champions. Equally they fell well short in the champions league final last season.

I like Pochettino but something just isn't right.

They’re up against two great sides in Liverpool and City. They should have won it the year Leicester did, but they’re still a much more established side now than when Pochettino took over.

Makes me laugh. It’s not easy to win any trophy in English football. They’ve finished top three three times in last four years and reached Champions League Final. All dreamland for Spurs supporters. One early season falter and he’s sacked. Good luck to them now. At least he gets a reported £12 million pay off.

I believe winning a trophy is better than not winning one. You don't tend to remember who finished 3rd or 4th in a random premier league season, but you far easier remember who's won the league cup and fa cup.

In recent years, I strongly disagree from my experience of supporters of big clubs.

Sometimes you only realise how well a bloke's been doing once he's gone. Think Harry at West Ham, Curbishley at Charlton, Colin at Rotherham or Hecky with us (we were still above the drop zone). This is coming to Spurs.

That's not how the big clubs see it. In fact his boss would have supported him focusing on league position over a domestic cup competition.

Even if I agree with you it doesn’t alter the facts. For many years the spoils have been shared largely amongst four or five teams. Spurs win something about once every twenty years. At least for them in recent years they have been competing to win the top trophies consistently. They’ll be lucky to continue that I reckon.
