Walked past earlier and along with the Ukraine flag the Israel flag is now flying. Now I might be a bit naive as I don’t particularly keep up on the news and current affairs but haven’t Israel been as bad lately ? I know this has been a pretty barbaric surprise and coordinated attack that Israel wasn’t prepared for and was slow to react, I don’t think the flag should be flying or am I wrong? Goes without saying I hope the Brits missing or feared dead are okay and it’s stopped soon but it seems as though it’s only going to get worse. Seems a bit like flying Iraq flag when we along with America invaded. Just put Barnsley flag back up ffs
No doubt in support of the men women and children who were massacred , burnt alive, beheaded and shot by a terrorist group ,rather than support to Israel itself? If that makes sense
Neither the Israel flag nor the Palestine flag should be sitting on top of our town hall. The IDF and Hamas playing an evil, savage version of top trumps where there are no winners, only losers.
Just read on bbc website that someone scaled Sheffield town hall to take down an Israel flag and replace it with a Palestinian one.
I assume you’d support the flying of a Palestinian Flag too in support of all those massacred by the Israel state? You know rather than support hamas.
Dundee is twinned with the Palestine town of Nablus. And for years the Palestine flag has been flown in the City Square. Not sure if it still is after the recent troubles. I have my doubts that it is. I shall have to find out. I’m really surprised we have not heard from George Galloway. This is really up his street.
I think it’s a really bad move by the Council. Why should anyone in this country or our town feel obliged to “take sides”. Why is it not possible to just agree that terrorism is bad, as is occupation of another country’s land, as is cutting off medical/ essential supplies to innocent residents of an area. I’d be equally appalled by Israeli or Palestinian flags flying.
What a 5hit comeback PR, I gave a reason why I think they may have flown it, I don't know, hence the ? at the end, why ask me if I would fly a palestian flag ?I wouldn't and I ain't flying a Israel flag either, what's with the anger m8 ?? Read my post again " I said maybe ?" Question mark being who knows, never make assumptions it makes you look like the first 3 letters of that word
Virtue signaling nonsense, like flying a pride flag. Do we not stand with the innocent people of Palestine, of Yemen? Myanmar? Tamils?........
He is still working out how to make it all about himself. In between complaining that just because he worked for Russia Today he wasn't actually paid by Russia and not associated with Russia...
Fair enough, but it was unfair to assume I'd support the flying of a palestian flag, I dont either support or don't support flag waving, I gave an opinion, not fact about why they could be flying the Israeli flag, nothing else, an opinion which may be right or wrong
Wow, very strange. I asked you a question with an assumption, seeing as you care so much about the Israelis I assumed you cared about the other side too, I’ll call you out though because you don’t. There’s no anger, just a little sadness really you can’t show the same levels of supposed empathy for all people, irrespective of where they live.
