If we can keep a clean sheet against a side with that much attacking quality, we might just do alright in this league. Davies, Mawson and Roberts were excellent, and both Bree and White stood up to their tests well. Hourihane in midfield is essential for us, and deservedly man of the match. Hope we don't lose him before the transfer window is out. Special mention too to Marley Watkins for working his balls off up top. He gave their defenders more to think about than Bent, Martin and Russell did for them combined. Best thing today for me, is I think several individuals there can do even better. Hammill, Bradshaw and Kent will all have better games this season. I'd still like to see a few more bodies added to the squad, but the key for me is not to lose anyone. If Roberts plays to the same level all season, he'll be off to the Premier League next summer. Same again Wednesday please. You reds!!!
I thought Kent played well, looked a threat on the break during the second half. Very good team performance, everyone contributed something. Felt we were playing close to maximum and we've got to do that this season to win games. 80% won't be good enough this year.
