Gordon Owen's 'contextual' post has done a lot to dampen the '***** managerial record' fears. Brentford still stands out as a blot on his copybook but there are few managers with a faultless record, fewer still realistic candidates.

Pro's - Experience, well respected in the game, good contacts (?) Clearly fancies the challenge as it appears that he's giving us a fairly comfortable position up in Scotland.
Con's - An uninspiring track record.

Everyone has their favourites and he certainly wasn't on my shortlist but he'll get my support. Perhaps as most folk have written us off he thinks he hasn't got much to lose. Keeping us up this season will be a huge achievement.

Big plus is that he has managed teams out of a slump. Poor old Keith has only managed one into a slump.
