    I’ve heard stories that Appleton was offered job by WBA and then then Xu Ke rejected it saying didn’t want to pay compensation and wanted the club to renogtiate. Appleton then rejected it feeling was being messed about etc.
    So VI could be same where just cos ‘club’ had agreed it still might need to be signed off by above

    If you're talking historically, then no, they're not. But they've just been relegated from the Premier league again, they'll be tipped for promotion again, and they'll have a **** ton of cash to spend..... Again.

    Wasn’t Neil one of the names in the running early on, along with Appleton? I’d say once they’ve moved on from that given they’re happy to pay compo now
