I put this on the other thread but thought it wise to re-post Appreciate your support - we (BST - Blackpool Supporters Trust) will be handing out Crisis Clubs flyers today outside the ground. We apologise there will be hardly any Pool fans in there today - the OYSTAINS have ripped the heart out of the club - over £100 prem money diverted to their other businesses, 2 successive relegations (the season when we came down from the Championship BFC posted the highest profits of all clubs and a record number of low points - what's that all about ?? ) Bloomfield is one of the 10 most deprived wards in the whole of the UK - they have done **** all for the local community - W⚓️'s .... Hope you lot have a great day / weekend out in our town - please support our boycott and get your drink / food before you go into Gloomfield Road - also please give the Oyston To$$ers and their private security morons as much grief as possible - they are the real enemy ---- Come up and say hello to us ..... Hope you have a great time - we miss getting excited about our team - we just want it to hurt again ....let us know what pubs you are frequenting and we'll send down some BST pamphleteers ..... Here's a song about our club .... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bbiYZwuvan8 - not sure how you put links on this board
Cheers Mario ... This is the detail on the flyer I referred to ... Dear visiting supporter, On behalf of Blackpool Supporters’ Trust we wish you a warm welcome to Blackpool and hope you enjoy your time here. Unfortunately Blackpool FC is a club in crisis and you will find Bloomfield Road over three-quarters empty. We want to make you aware why the majority of our supporters are undertaking a sustained ethical boycott against the club’s owners, the Oystons. Despite an estimated £100m windfall from our year in the Premiership, the club has dropped to the bottom tier of the EFL with two successive relegations. Instead of investing in a sustainable legacy for the football club, the owners preferred to remunerate themselves and oversee large interest-free loans to Oyston companies. The Oystons’ treatment of supporters is arguably even more dreadful than their management of the club. They have taken the unprecedented step of suing many prominent fans for ‘defamation’ for daring to criticisetheir custodianship of the club. Our decision to boycott has not been taken lightly. Welove our club as much as you love yours, but we feel that the Oystons have ripped the heart out of our club and wrenched it from the local community. We believe theyonly run Blackpool FC for their own benefit, so as a last resort Blackpool Supporters’ Trust voted to adopt an ethical boycott as part of a campaign to force the owners to sell the club. Many lifelong fans have taken a ‘not a penny more’ stance, have not renewed their season tickets, do notpurchase match day tickets for home games and refuse to buy any club-related merchandise. The minority that do still attend home matches are encouraged not to purchase programmes or refreshments inside the stadium. In short we do not want to give the Oyston regime another penny or any custom and we will not return to Bloomfield Road until they go. We do however appreciate that you want to support your club and respect your decision to do so. That said, we hope you support our protest and ask that you consider showing solidarity with your fellow football supporters by: - not purchasing any match programmes or lottery tickets - not purchasing any food or drinks from the kiosks inside the local businesses which have been negatively impacted by the downturn at the club would welcome your custom today.) - spreading the word about the Blackpool boycott to any sympathetic listeners We greatly appreciate your support. Yours in sport, Blackpool Supporters’ Trust Website: www.blackpoolsupporterstrust.com Twitter: @BlackpoolST FB: Blackpool Supporters’ Trust Of course, Blackpool FC is not the only club in crisis at the moment and this action is part of a wider struggle by other supporters’ groups which have different stories but the interests of their clubs and their fans at heart: Blackburn Rovers, Charlton Athletic, Coventry City, Leyton Orient to name but a few others. We have in common a belief in the importance of footballclubs being a part of the local community. Football supporters have sustained their clubs for generations. Owners are temporary whereas supporters are permanent. We also have a collective concern about the will of the football authorities to guarantee a fair future for fans. Therefore we are working closely with the Football Supporters Federation locally and nationally to lobby for changes in the governance of the game, to place limitations on unscrupulous and powerful owners. This is becoming a concerted struggle on behalf of all footballs supporters. You can show your active support by joining or donating to BST, by joining the FSF and your own club’s Supporters’ Trust. We are ramping up activity towards a national co-ordinated campaign on the final weekend of this season against the FA and the EFL. Cheers for reading - hope to meet some of you today
Love your town. When your side stand was being built for the premiership I spent some time chatting to one of the guys in charge. He said majority of those working on it were Burnley fans. Strange one was the premiership for ya. Didn't get your ground finished in time so fixtures were changed and then you had a shitload of postponed matches, many in a row. Not sure not buying a two quid drink will make much difference when they are getting 6 quid from 40% of each adult ticket sold but every little helps I guess. It's very strange what they have done to your club. In his time with you he's gave you top flight football against all odds and an all seater stadium so he's really messed up to not be thought of as a legend. We are very lucky with a lifelong fan as both our owner and head coach. Foxhall is a wonderful development by your ground but he doesn't have anything to do with that does he. Surprised how many Oyston for sale signs are up around town because you'd think locals would sell their house with someone else. Gary Bowyer looks to have stabalised you somewhat and doing an alright job. He's used to ***** owners having worked for Venkys so clear a glutten for punishment He's well capable of getting you promoted.
Seriously hope all our fans respect your wishes re the spending in the ground, as a kid my best mate was a Blackpool fan and we went to most home games on a coach from Carnforth/Lancaster (at a time when I couldn't get to Barnsley by myself ie 12-17), had some great times (inc the infamous home victory over Sunderland), always had a soft spot for Blackpool and really hope you can get rid of the convicted rapist and KOKO, they have all but killed off your club, you've got my full support and I will be talking to any protestors outside the ground..
Horrible what's happening to you mate, you've definitely got our support, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We couldn't make it today , but I can assure you we wouldn't have given the Oystons a penny. Good luck with your fight .
Great to meet a lot of you lot today. Proper supporters -some real characters - hope you have a good time and enjoy your time in Blackpool ...... Just sorry there's not a lot of home fans to make it a better atmosphere ....
You've been a very graceful bunch have your fans, and have the sympathy of many other clubs. If this game went to a replay, it'd be nice if we could muster up complimentary tickets, or charge you a token penny. Give a few thousand of you a chance to watch your beloved club without lining the pockets of those who caused your demise. Unlikely, but all the very best for the future.
Would you prefer not to have a club orcluv playing in a dilapidated. Stadium. Perhaps you regret him taking you to the premiership
Can someone ban this silly ****? Imnsure the doc and reevy got the boot on here and they posted far less drivel than this doylum.
Clueless little gimp, why not attend the next protest BST do and air you're views there? Thought not, *****.
To be honest. No. I don't it appears at dace value they got too big for there boots, turned on the owner and he's said **** it I will have my money. Back. Andit been in a vertex. Ever since
