I think they've handled the situation since Saturday very well. Mansford said all the right things as did Danny immediately after, the Trust and Club have come out quickly and made statements and whilst some will argue it's not gone far enough the offer of a free ticket on Saturday is a quality gesture (even if that's all it is).

    Well in BFC.

I totally agree Liam, it was the right kind of response and well measured. We are the injured party, so to speak and the club expressed itself sufficiently, without going overboard.

The free ticket is a fantastic gesture, the club didn't have to do that - it was wholly Charlton's responsibility to get the match on, not ours and I don't what else BFC could have done. Ben spoke well, friendly and direct as always. Too much has been made of his 'chief execs dodging questions' comments - of course they dodge questions, otherwise every single bit of business - transfer targets etc, would be all over the media.

BFC have come out of the unfortunate situation looking good, not only with it's own supporters but with the football league too. I would have loved to see the closed doors stuff, I'm sure Ben handled it all well. Don might have smacked somebody. :)

This is the time for Barry Taylor to help us out. He's in with the FA, about time he did something that benefited the club or its fans.

100% agree. thats a fantastic act by Barnsley

they had no need to do that as it was NOT their fault in any circumstance. But they have and I for one applaud them. However there will be plenty on here who will pick faults in it you just see. I on the other hand am completely impressed by it.... again well done BFC.

Charlton should pay for 10 coaches for the re-arranged fixtures for 500 of our fans

that would give them back their petrol money/travel expenses. I know some will not be able to go when its a mid week, but that would be a very acceptable gesture from Charlton IMHO.

Applause for Ben. Wasn't his problem to sort. Seems clear that Charlton will be doing **** all about their sham
