I know a lot of people probably don't agree with me but if I could legally get away with paying less tax I would

Mmm. The fact is if so many didn't avoid or evade tax then we could all probably pay less.

But is it also down to the government to close these loopholes, at the the end of the day whether it's morally wrong or not the fact is he's done it legally

But when you are PAYE via your employer you have no choice. This **** cos he earns quite a bit, and his employee setup gives him that opportunity. Something ya average ****er that the rich don't give a **** about, have no choice

Totally agree. Lack of humour interspersed with foul language and people call it entertainment!

People must find him funny with the amount of money he makes each year, he's dodging the tax man and he's still paying more in tax a year then what 95% of the people in Barnsley will each earn in the next 12 months

It's true that you can't do it through PAYE through your current employer..... But you could choose to give up your employment and be self employed stand up comedian like Jimmy Carr. Then if you are any good you could do a K2 tax scheme yourself. You wouldn't need to be earning millions either... About £50k would be sufficient.

8 out of 10 cats shoiuld be worth a watch tonight

As it was recoded last night I guess he is going to get pulled up on it by other self employed comedians who didnt think of the K2 scheme

The problem is the fact that tac is too complicated and the clever accountants will always outwit the civil sevants who draft the tax laws.

And we all take steps to minimise tax - Isas offsetting genuine expenses against earnings, paying into a pension scheme are all completely moral ways to avoid tax

the K2 scheme is probably too far but how many companies and rich tories use similar vehicles to minimise their tax bills?

Jimmy carr went down in my estimation - not when this came out - but when he started grovelling and apologising.

He should have had the balls to stand up and say 'yes, I legally avoid tax, what of it'.

David Cameron has more faces than a dozen dice - it was only the other week he was questioned about that green fella who donates plenty to the Tory coffers - he said that he wouldn't get into somebody's personal tax affairs on air. And then he publicly flogs jimmy Carr.

Half the ****in government will be on some kind of tax dodge too. Like I say, he has many faces our prime minister - and he uses every one of them to look down his nose at normal folk like us

I believe in fairies, the Easter bunny, and Keith Hill.

The tax laws are written and paid for by the the same rich clique that own the MPs and the major banking and finance related institutions that do not answer to the plebs.

It makes me laugh when talk is of the undue influence of the unions on new labour, consider the gifts given to big business during the last labour govt, e.g. PFI, continued massive subsidies to rail companies, the ability to cherry pick NHS services.... the unions members should ask for their money back ha ha :)

It may be morally wrong, but if he can get away with it then fair dos.
