I'm not one of those who thinks you're biased, but... ...well, you have put united and Wednesday on 7 times each this season and even rovers 5 times, so if you tell me that the regions biggest match this weekend is your main match, Barnsley from St. Andrews, I'll put the phone down right now. It is this weekends main match. Beeeeeeepppppppp as Whitey hangs up true to his word!
I didnt want to blow my own trumpet or owt but Ive listened to it back and it was the funniest thing on radio league one since dem deer blunts got relegated! Not just because of what I said. But just how everything fell in to place so sweetly. I had a plan on what to say - as I did yesterday but couldnt get it out due to the 20 questions from Andy - and this time I got it out. Despite Seth asking me about center halves or sumat. I thought "fluck you, Im making my point this time" lol And EuanMuir (sp) got it pretty much verbatim tbh. But Seth had to play ball or it would have fell down. Or if they WERENT doing the Brum game, then obviously Id have had to stay on the phone and probably ask why it wasnt on. But despite my TRUE feelings about the station, I still think its best to stay civil, and just make the odd jibe here and there. And I wouldnt really enjoy a fan calling up hammering the show tbh. Because my only gripe is their bias choice of live games. And this weekend will be the 3rd Reds game on. But its the 3rd away game. And so that works for me as a ST holder. I wouldnt hear any home games would I if they did em? Id be at the Well! So 3 out of 4 aways is great. And all 3 are games I havent or wont (Brum) be going to. Unfortunately I have to work this friday nite, so its just not do-able, the trip to St. Andrews.. So when Seth said "its on live.." I said "thankyou" and down went the phone. And since listening to it myself, the way that when the phone went down with a proper 'dead' tone was quality. And you could hear someone in the studio laughing, and Seth himself laughing, and saying sumat like "we aim to please on Football Heaven" It was an upbeat moment on an often depressing show. Just glad to be a part of it. And Im definitely getting more at ease on there. But I will never - thankfully - match up to Brian the Blunt... But I do intend to keep at it. Just to provide a voice for the Reds, as its bogged down with deedar after deedar. But Im not going to call every nite. Im not Mork the pitsmoor s6 owl....
I'm going to have a listen to it online. Typical really, I miss three minutes of the show while I was on the phone and I miss the best bit.
Just listened to it now, quality. 2 things though - I agree with Steve davis as centre-half choice, very underrated and i hope your cough/cold isnt too bad
Nice one Whitey By the way, totally agree about Steve Davis, excellent centre back and very unlucky to break his leg half-way through the promotion season. Not the best one in my time though, Paul Futcher and Mick McCarthy take some beating, almost impossible to split those two, but I'd give it to McCarthy for his goals, Futcher never managed one in 6 seasons...
Yes, he took "even Donny" as a slight, when it could be interpreted as a further highlight that "even" another non Sheffield club had three more. Keep on counting Whitey! As for centre backs, Taggart and De Zeeuw were top of my mind.

Nah, seriously, thanx for you're concern... its just a phlegmy chest, and caused by working in factories probly.. BUT, its got me the nite off work, and Im weighing up blagging the other 2 nites off! So I can go to Brum setdi! LoL And Brush, I was born in 82 so I didnt get to see Mick at center half unfortunately. But my dad did. He rates McCarthy, Glavin, Hignett and Eaden as his fantastic four! But Davis gets my vote with Taggs and Arry at center half. And the Pikey fan straight after my call took it as a slur against em. But it wasnt meant to be. I was just emphasising the fact we are being overlooked this year. But Seth was back to being a knob today. I decided to just txt today rather than call. And I actually praised the show, and said Lodgey at the Chron was doing a great job, and that Hillcroft were the bees knees. But fatty didnt read it despite me sending it at 6pm. But he read Paul the Tykes anti-Hill txt though.. fruckin windbag.
