Blimey Oreilly. Got fed up with Firefox taking forever to load on the first opening so thought I'd try Opera - whooosh! Lightening fast.
I think its becuase afater i while temporary files build up in your fiefox directory if you clear em out itll speed up If you keep using Opera and dont delete temp file that will also start to slow down
Been trying that but firefox still takes forever on first start up. I've tried alsorts; tried re-installing, changing pathway of the shortcut, deleting all temp files, you name it I've tried it. I've been doing some research and it's not uncommon
Firefox does the same for me Take ages to load on first start-up. Firefox 3 is by far the best and fastest browser I've used once it's up and running but that first start-up time is a pain in the arse.
RE: Firefox does the same for me Well, until they sort it out, I think I'm going to stick with Opera. I only got this problem with version 3.
