    Would be in our price range and bags goals. He's a realistic target who we could afford.

    Sheff United fans reckon they're going to get him so surely we'd beat them to him.

    I know stats don't tell the whole story but why does he appear to have done so sh!te at Rotherham? Yet scored plenty at Crewe before and Port Vale after?

    Would be an excellent signing as his track record is ideal and something for Flickers to work on. Not the Pope though as his misdemeanours prove he is no Angel and if we do sign him we may have to stop the game occasionally and look for his contact lens!!!!

    A native of Stoke-on-Trent, Pope grew up as a Port Vale supporter. He is an accomplished amateur golfer, having reached the quarter-finals of Stoke-on-Trent's Sentinel Shield competition. He wears contact lenses. He is a darts fan.
