Everything and everyone on about flipping Wembley? We have 5 more games before then, and all of them are far more important than that one. I couldn't give a **** about Wembley until it's the next game.

Probably because for some people their next game will be Wembley.

It's exciting ok, but it's hardly important is it? I know now we are at this stage we want to win it, but its hardly something we set our sights on in August is it? Whereas staying up was. As the managers always say, concentrate on the next game. We need two more wins, its vital. Give me safety and lose to Cardiff anyday.

    I dont get some people

We are in the semi finals of the FA cup

get it - thats the original football competion the one that everyone dreams of doing well in

and all some people can do is moan that we are gettting excited about it - of course its more exciting than Palace away its more exciting than a relegaton battle and arguably more important - In 10 years time people will remember going to Wembley (maybe 2 or 3 times) even the fans that go to palace probably wont remember it after next week - not if its like last seasons visit anyway

    'It's hardly important'

The FA Cup Semi-Finals at Wembley aren't important?

No of course they're not... it might only be another 96 years before we're in them again eh.

    Amazing

People are moaning that fans are excited at the prospect of going to Wembley.

    Well I never.

We didn't set our sights on it at the start of the season?

Does that mean it wasn't important when we got to the Premiership?

Because I don't think many of our supporters set realistic sights on promotion that season.

    Some folk are never happy.

Certainly isn't important to me, until that game is our next. Given the choice of safety or winning the cup, ill take safety absolutely anyday. There's no reason we cant do both, but until then, what I'm saying is, concentrate on the league, afterall we cant win in the semi's until that day, and before then there's plenty of more important games!

    Whether people on this messageboard...

Discuss the FA Cup tie or not will have no bearing on any results.

What you'll find mate is that people are either discussing the Wembley tie instead of nothing, or instead of what's on tv or something.

There would generally be very little chat about the Palace game regardless of the FA Cup tie.

I'm in full agreement that we must get safety ASAP and hopefully before Wembley, but to expect people not to be excited about it is unrealistic.

ESPECIALLY the bigger fans that have watched us be crap so many times and have supported the club for years through many lows.

    I'd rather win the cup...

than avoid relegation. Would we still talk about 1912 if it was simply the year we narrowly avoided relegation? First team in god knows how many years to win the cup from outside the top flight. European football at the Well. Stuff legends are made of.

nobhead. You have to be younger than 16 to say something like that. The whole point of the club being in existence is to do our best to win something. In my lifetime we've never had and probably never will have a better opportunity. That's why it's exciting. Relegation? - hope not. F.A.Cup glory - stuff of dreams.

It's 3 games anyway. See you at Palace.

I think that after the events of the last few weeks we are all entitled to drool.

We have a chance of being part of the history of this great club of ours. Look at 1912 - that is the very fabric of it. Just imagine being there this time, seeing, breathing and feeling it, sat in the best stadium in the world, amongst our tarn, knowing we are 90 minutes away from playing in the final of the greatest and most famous cup competition in the world. Knowing you were there, and that the whole world were watching. Just imagine the feeling of pride of being amongst a sea of red, amongst people that are your own, at possibly a once in a lifetime occasion. Imagine winning. Imagine the high you'd be on for a hell of a long time afterwards, never tiring of people you rarely speak to or have seen before coming up to you treating you like a long lost relative just because they know you are a Barnsley fan.

That is how we are all feeling. I for one offer no apology.

I'm glad I don't feel the same as you

I mean, what's the point if you can't get excited about it all.
