I know there are more important things to rant about but... http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-birmingham-36269041 My wife was a primary teacher for 37 years and, whilst she said some extreme haircuts in the past may have resulted in a 'letter to parents' in this instance neat and tidy hardly justifies sending the poor kid home for an entire week with no explanation FFS. Looking at the kids around here (Italy) -most of 'em would be sent home if they went to that school and they all seem to be decent enough if not a bit 'over-indulged' Wonder what JamDrop would think.
I reckon there's a lot more to this story that we haven't heard. There usually is with stuff like this. No way would he have been excluded for a week for that haircut, especially as the article says that he has had it for 7 months. The 'She said a full explanation had not been given' makes me think that it clearly wasn't just that.
I thought something like that but as it was BBC reporting and not the Sun Mail or Yahoo I was probably take in. I then realized it was an article reproduced on the main BBC news website from the England/Birmingham 'local' reporting. It also follows the recent 'dress code-high heels only' report earlier which was legitimate and resulted in a 'change of policy' by the employment agency.
I wish words would fail a few more on here. As for the kids haircut. Why would a Catholic scholl have a problem with that? It's practically Norman...
