    Didn't see it..

But on the one performance I've seen from each of them since it started, Shayne should win.

    Unfortunately, yes

Never watched a reality TV thing before, but somehow got sucked in to this. There's actually people who can genuinely sing. Not just a bit, fantastic voices. Brenda and Andy have as good voices as many 60s black soul stars. People may have a go 'cos they're just doing covers, but many 60s black soul stars didn't write their own music either.

To be fair, Shayne can sing too.

    Strangely enough

    No!

Found it amusing on Radio 5 this morning after they'd been discussing X Factor and "I'm Somebody You've Never Heard Of Get Me Out of Here" and then went for a cricket update and asked the reporter "What passes for Saturday evening TV in Pakistan"....whatever it is it can't be worse than ours!

    Talentless?

Bull. I dont think any are superstars, but to call them talentless is pathetic. Could you go on there in front of millions of people and sing every word in the chosen song without stumbling, on a live performance? If you could, would you?

caught a few episodes, that Andy has the best voice by far. Just wish they'd sing better songs than the wailing ballads they're lumbered with.

Of all these reality singing shows I've olny ever heard one really outstanding voice and that's Lamar. Not a fan of his stuff but his voice is fantastic

    RE: Talentless?

fair enough they can all sing a bit but they all have as much charisma as a paper bag and I would say they are not truly talented cause they don't write songs or play instruments and just sing the predictable covers they are told to sing

    Fair point mate but.....

X Factor is about doing covers to earn recognition first and foremost. Look at Will Young, the original Pop Idol winner. Did covers to earn himself some respect, now look at him. Doesnt do covers now does he. Besides, there are a lot of "musicians" out there that dont write their own stuff.

    watched it the other week.

The male group, not sure of name, sung without any support... Just them with the guitar played by one of them.

Personally thought that was very brave, and did actually pull it off

    true true but.............

does the music world really need a 40 year old bin man doing Nat King Cole and Marvin Gaye covers when there are so many good original bands out there
