It's all your fault that I'm homesick. On this board in 2005 I have seen wit, humour, compassion, common sense, fun, advice, help, sympathy and enthusiasm. Some of the folk who slag Barnsley off should come on here and see what we're really like. I don't post much, but read a lot. Listening to you lot makes me realise how much I miss Barnsley, especially at Christmas. In Germany it's just not the same. Have a good 'un, all of you, and give me some advice on homesickickness.
I suffered from homesickness something terrible when I first moved down here. However, it does eventually get better with time. Thanks for the great comments about the bbs folk. They're a good bunch really.
"Better with time"? I've been here 2 years! Went to the Sncuthorpe match and thought "this is the life, can't beat it". Then I had to go back to Hamburg.
MMMMMMMM nice stroll down the Reeperbahn then Fruhstuk (?) used to live not far off in a place called Soltau good days. All the best matey
Reeperbahn is OK the 1st 2 or 3 times, but not like "rarnd tarn" even at my age. Frühstück is OK, but can't beat full English 2 weeks ago I was back home, the missus said "What you eating tonight?" Thought for a bit, then answered "Bacon and egg, fish and chips, chicken tikka massala, pint of lager". Luxury!
Awww, sorry to hear you are homesick. Your friends and family will aways be near while you think of them, so try not to be too upset about being in Germany. On behalf of All on this board, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Peaceful New Year. Oh and Come on you REDS!!!!!!
