I know we're supposed to be grateful for the position we're in

but the idea that our dreams last as long as the time between one big club's chequebook and the next is not exactly the dream I have for my club. We outplayed Norwich in the second half yesterday and before the window we would have destroyed them and we are looking at losing much of what we have got at the end of the season.

Before the match yesterday Norwich announced a structure change with Ed Balls saying they had appointed a managing director and are looking for a director of football. We on the other hand are run like a corner pawn shop with half our team being pledged by rich patrons who have no use for them just yet and the other half sitting in the shop window. We are run by part timers and amateur ones at that. We have just witnessed the most disastrous transfer window anyone can remember, the team was decimated and the one transfer that was nailed on (Morsy) blown away by our own ineptitude. We succeed in spite of our boardroom incompetence.

I have nothing but admiration for Hecky, the playing staff and the backroom training staff, but for god sake let's give them some support from the administration.

The thing is the only people happy with our league position are those fans that at the start of the season would have been happy with just staying up.

But many fans myself included think our league position is now very dissapointing for a team a point off the play offs in January. As the season goes on you change targets based on form. In January our target shouldn't have been just to stay up and be happy with it. It should have changed the mindset to we've a chance of promotion. Therefore where we are in the league now isn't good.

That's as may well be but that has no relevance on what he might be doing well or otherwise at Norwich.

Anyway, silly me. We can continue driving Hecky into the ground and relying on a part timer

We've had two bad transfer windows in a row. To let the previous one close without a replacement for Mawson was poor as well.

I suppose it's easier for Norwich as they get twenty odd thousand for every home game (wasn't that as a result of a season ticket deal a few years ago and perpetuated ever since?) but surely their finances are in a better state than ours due to this.
It's probably easier to deal with seven or eight thousand moaning minnies at Barnsley than twenty some at Norwich. They have premiership potential, we don't and probably won't have for the foreseeable.

Ed Balls was Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families when Labour were in government and then Shadow Chancellor in opposition.

Im one of the fans who would have been happy for us to stop up. Im certainly one of the fans who would have loved us to be in the position we currently find ourselves in when the season started.
Im also not very happy with the way that hecky has had the squad that had a very realistic chance of making the playoffs torn to shreds for a quick buck.
Dont be fooled into thinking that everyone who would have been happy with a season safe with relegation is happy with the way things are going

Obviously the mention of Ed Balls was a mistake as it allows some people to hijack the thread and avoid the point.

The point was that they are taking advice from a failed politician.

We get ours from successful business men

"the worst chancellor we ever had" even though we never had him. Be hard for him not to be a failed politician wouldn't it with judgement like that?

Even his own constituents didn't vote him back on, I'd say that was a failure

All our best players out of contract and sold for a pittance. That's what I call a failure.
