Hello, Leicester fan here. Firstly congratulations on your promotion last season & the progress you've made this season. Just wanted to hear your opinions on Matty James. Matty is a big part of our dressing room, a good lad on and off the pitch. He was on the verge of an England call up alongside Vardy during our great escape. Hodgson came to our game to watch him play and then he got that horrific injury. I'm glad he's bounced back and not surprised he's been getting high praise, he is a very classy player & reads the game very well. I understand he's been playing a defensive role. For us he was a box to box destroyer, doing the dirty work and got up and down the pitch very well. Obviously players can change due to horrific injuries. So do you think he can excel as a box to box midfielder again, or as a deep defensive playmaker? Or perhaps he's well equipped for both roles? What are his stand out qualities for you guys? He hasnt lost it , or if he has he is still premiership class. Initially for us he was tiring as he didnt have his match fitness back which I think is one reason he has been deep just in front of the defence. In recent games he has stood out as a different class to anyone else on the pitch and got forwards more. I would expect given a pre-season he should be fine to be the box to box midfielder again for you. He's clearly a cut above. As much has been evident since his debut. Not sure whether he'll be a regular in the Premier League again, but he certainly will be playing at a better level than midtable championship next season. Very classy player. Looked understandably rusty in his first couple of games, but for me the difference in being a quality player in the Championship and being able to make a difference in the Premier League is having the footballing brain to go with the feet, and he has clearly shown he has that. It's obvious the Championship is the wrong level for him - still only a young player he has a very bright future ahead.
He's been bloody awful.....really, really poor. I wouldn't even think about bringing him back and if i were Mr Shakespeare, I'd accept a bid of no more than £100k to take him off your hands. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
Brilliant footballer. Definitely be playing the in the premier league again after this season. Plenty of years left in him too! Be very surprised if Leicester let him go, should be playing along side Drinkwater & Ndidi next season
Honest answer, he's looked excellent for us, though whether this translates to a good premier league midfield player I wouldn't like to say. He's better than mid table championship though. I'd love him to stay here though I know he's destined for better Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Think we'd have been even higher at the turn of the year if we'd had him all season playing with Mr Hourihane. Whilst you've new owners who have nothing to do with the **** storm you were in a few years ago, does your club plan to ever pay back as a good will gesture the millions it cheated out of folk during the dark days? Be a nice thought considering the Sky money you get off the back of you gambling a second time with your future (granted it paid off with premiership football that time).
Still finding his feet but getting stronger by the game. He will be a great midfielder for someone at the top end of the championship. Beyond that it depends how much more he has got when all the sharpness returns.

Deceptively quick. Where Hourihane could get the ball quickly up the field with a pinpoint pass, James can carry it a similar distance. He foxes (no pun intended) opponents with a drop of the shoulder and a hip twist that reminds of Peter Beardsley in his prime. James' is one of those players who was born a natural footballer.
